Lions and Tigers and Sting Rays, oh my!

We looked at the calendar this weekend, and realized if we wanted to attend Brookfield Zoo's special exhibit, StingRay Bay, we had better do it this weekend as it ends on Labor Day. So on a very warm, very humid day we loaded up the van, picked up Abby's friend, Alecia, and headed to the zoo.

We saw lions......


and tigers.......


but the highlight for all of us truly was petting a sting ray! What do they feel like? Abby's description.... kind of rubbery, smooth, and slimy! It was great fun, and worth the trip to the zoo!


We also saw hippo's, ostriches, and an unusual animal called an Andy-Roo.
